Image Details: text "Make the Rest of Life the Best of Life" Kind of like saying "Make Everyday Count" Inspirational to some. Depressing to others. |
Best of Life
Retro Hulk Grab Poster
Image Details: retro Marvel Comic's Incredible Hulk artwork showing the Hulk reaching out Shield has so much awesome technology, and yet they can't figure out some kind of suit that Banner/Hulk could wear without it ripping apart. |
Spider-Man Retro Swinging Poster
Spider-Man Retro Swing Two Poster by marvelclassics Shop for Spider man Posters online at Zazzle.com | Image Details: Marvel's Spider-Man Swinging through the city artwork Okay, I've got a question for someone out there. Anyone. So Spider-Man swings around town on his webbing, right? What happens to all that webbing? Because as you probably already know, spider webs don't just disappear over night. They hang around long after their maker is gone. Wouldn't the town be covered in giant spider webs? And who would get it off? That stuff is super strong. He held a train back with it. |
Captain America Shield
Image Details: Marvel's Captain America's shield movie artwork Let me just say I like the newer version of Captain America way better than the old one. The old character was too cheesy for me. I don't know why really though if I think about it. They're basically the same. I guess having a cooler suit helps? I don't know. |
I Am Ironman Poster
Image Details: Marvel's Iron Man "IM" movie artwork Now, I'm just assuming that the "iM" stands for "I Am." Seeing as how Tony Stark aka Iron Man is fond of saying "I am Ironman." That or it just stands for Iron Man. For all I know it could be "instant message." |
The Winter Soldier
Winter Soldier Standing Over Shield Print by Captainamerica Shop for Captain america Posters online at Zazzle.com | Image Details: Marvel's Captain America movie poster showing The Winter Solider standing on Captain America's shield I wonder if they're going to have another movie for this character, because the movie didn't really have much of him in it. Weird that a character would have very little screen time in their own movie. |
Incredible Hulk 314
Image Details: vintage Marvel Incredible Hulk comic book cover I think someone at Marvel had an issue with their head. Just look at all the characters there with weird heads. You know, Stewie from Family Guy would fit in perfectly on this cover. |
Never Trust An Atom
Image Details: atomic symbol graphic with text: "Never trust an atom. They make up everything." True story. Atoms do make up everything. Or do they? What if there was something that was not made out of atoms? Hmmmm I wonder what that would be like. I feel a block buster action filled science fiction movie coming on. Starring that guy from Jurassic Park. You know, because he's always in those science fiction movies. Just pay no attention to the fact that I can't think of his name. And that I'm too lazy to google it. |
You're Overreacting
You're Overreacting Chemistry Science Beaker Posters by The_Shirt_Yurt Check out other Overreaction Posters at zazzle.com | Image Details: beaker vector image with text "You're overreacting." I need this poster. I can think of a few people this would be great for. Is it just me or has the world gotten really over dramatic lately? Everyone chill out. |
A Moment of Science
Image Details: atomic symbol illustration with text "Let's Have a Moment of Science" Obviously a play on words for "Let's have a moment of silence." But still cleverly amusing. At least for me it is. Then again I am a bit of a science geek. |
Science In Progress
Image Details: warning sign graphic with text "Warning: Science In Progress" I'd just like to make a comment about the image here. That stick figure must have four arms, because usually these warning sign characters are one dimensional. So if this is one side of the figure and it has two arms on one side, then in total it has four. |
Bruce Nemo and Dory
Image Details: Disney's "Finding Nemo" characters: Bruce, Nemo and Dory Probably one of the best Disney movies that I have seen lately. My favorite line "Get in my mouth if you want to live." (paraphrasing) |
Adventurous Ariel Poster
Image Details: illustration of Aerial the mermaid from Disney's The Little Mermaid When it comes to modern princess movies this one beats the rest hands down. They've got nothing on The Little Mermaid. The music is better, the story line is better, and I like it. So there. I remember watching this movie in middle school music class. |
Cheshire Cat Poster
Image Details: Disney's "Alice in Wonderland" Cheshire Cat character with movie icons That cat. I couldn't figure out if he was a villan character or not. It seemed that he was up to something. By the way - if you've never seen this movie see the original version. The newer remakes are too weird. |
Disney Characters Vintage
Vintage Mickey Mouse & Friends Posters by disney Look at Vintage mickey mouse Posters online at Zazzle.com | Image Details: vintage style classic Disney characters: Goofy, Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, and Pluto
I think it's time for Disney to do another classic characters movie featuring all of the old school characters. Take a break from all the princess movies. What about you? I mean after all they are the core of Disney, and yet the newer generations aren't familiar with them. |
Frozen Group Poster
Image Details: Disney's Frozen group shot featuring main characters: Elsa, Anna, Kristoff, and Olaf I admit that I saw this movie. Hey I like cartoons. The best character is of course the snowman. I wasn't into the music. Of course I'm not a little girl. I think Olaf should get his own movie. He just has so much personality. |
Baymax Sitting Poster
Image Details: Disney's Baymax character from the movie Big Hero 6 sitting Have you seen this movie? It feels a little anime to me. Just a little. Which is great. Disney is known for making good movies, but it gets old watching the same style over and over again. This one felt different than the others. I like the way that Disney changed the character dynamic too. We saw the characters the way they view themselves. Instead of the typical outside perspective. Which helps you get into the movie. It is for kids though. There were some funny parts, but funny for kids. Nothing that's really going to make you laugh out loud. You know kids laugh at anything. |
Release the Kraken
Image Details: illustration of a giant octopus with text "Don't make me release the Kraken!"
I'm not sure what that thing is holding. That little pink thing down there. Guess I'll have to buy the poster to find out. Oh I love a good mystery. Looks like some kind of troll. A sea troll!
There are a number of occasions where I have yelled "Release the Kraken!" Mostly when someone farts (or I fart) and whenever my dog Ryochiko gets loose.
I'm Smarter Than You're
Image Details: vintage picture of smiling man pointing up with text "I'm Smarter Than You're"
English lesson: You're is the contraction for "You Are." Thus the sentence "I'm smarter than you're." would be correct. Even if it does sound horrible. (Your shows possession.)
It would have been funnier if this poster said Your instead though. That's okay. You can change it. Just click the image to go to the editor, then click customize, and edit the text.
By the way - this guy looks a little familiar. Is that Ronald Reagan?
Have You Been Working Out
Image Details: stick figures with text "Dude! Have you been working out?"
Looks like that roid rage stick figure grew some feet too. Still no neck though. Then again those big muscle dudes don't really ever have necks do they? I've always wondered what was the point of being so strong that you could lift a car, but being so bulky that you couldn't bend over to pick it up. Oh the irony.
Living On The Edge
Image Details: stick figure running with scissors and text "Rebel Living On The Edge"
Every time some teacher said "Don't run with scissors." it really made me want to run with scissors. I guess that's why they started using safety scissors in schools. I always liked those pattern scissors. You know, the ones with the little zig zag edges that would cut a pretty little edge on your stuff. I got a hold of one of those one day, and let's just say all of my classwork that day was fancy.
Funny Photographer Poster
I Shoot People Funny Photographer Photography Sign Poster by FunnyBusiness
Check out I shoot people Posters online at zazzle
Image Details: vector image of a camera with text "I Shoot People and Sometimes Cut Off Their Heads"
Get it? Get it? Twisted sense of humor there. Before it was easy to cut off peoples heads with those old school cameras, but today with digital cameras that let you view the image you're about to snap - well, if your head goes missing in the pic it was probably done on purpose.
Doberman Warning Sign
Image Details: warning sign graphic with text "DANGER: I own a doberman that carries a gun and refuses to take its medication"
Wow triple threat. Stay away from that place for sure. Then again if you just wait a little while the crazy dog will probably run off somewhere chasing after its shadow. You'll still have to be careful though. Someone who would give their dog a gun isn't all there.
Funny OCD Poster
Image Details: text poster "I Have CDO: It's a lot like OCD but all the letters are in alphabetical order as they should be!
This poster would go great on Burt's side of the bedroom. You know, Burt from Burt and Ernie on Sesame Street. Oh Burt, thank you for teaching us about organization and keeping things neat and tidy. You helped to spread OCD to millions around the world.
Teddy Roosevelt Moose Rider
Image Details: picture of late U.S. president Teddy Roosevelt riding a moose in a lake
FYI: This image is not real. I know, shocking. Heather Cole who curates the Teddy Roosevelt collection at Harvard claims this photo is actually a fake made by the Underwood and Underwood Photography firm in 1912 for the 1912 presidential election. Roosevelt was the "Bull Moose Party" nominee that year. Bull Moose Party? Whatever happened to them?
Funny Fat Free Donuts Poster
Image Details: vector doughnut with text "Donuts: 100% Fat Free In The Center"
It's true for ring donuts anyway. But what about whole ones like Bismarks and those long ones, eh? What's your favorite donut anyway? I prefer Dunkin Donuts. They taste way better than Krispy Kreme. Though Krispy Kreme does have it's advantages. Okay just one really. You can give them to people you don't want to share your Dunkin Donuts with.
Funny Periodic Table Poster
Periodically Periodic Table of Elements Posters by ForTeachersOnly
Check out School Posters online at zazzle
Image Details: period table of elements with text "I use this periodically."
Nothing like a little science humor to bring an element of surprise to your classroom. FYI periodically means to be used frequently. So the periodic table is a table of frequently used elements. I wonder what the whole element table would look like.
Vintage Vogue Fashion Poster
Vintage French Fashion Cover ~ Illustrator Lepape Print by CollageInArt
See other French vogue Posters
Image Details: Fashion print of a woman in a dress struggling with an umbrella.
This work was created by French artist Georges Lepape for Vogue. Lepape did many illustrations for Vogue. And now I can see why Vogue always has their models in weird constrained poses. They're trying to mimic the art of Lepape. You can really feel the wind pulling on the umbrella in this picture.
strong wind +umbrella +high heels +dress = fun times
Bally's Fine Shoes Poster
Image Details: shoe advertisement by Bally's Fine Shoes featuring a painting of a vintage styled girl wearing a pink dress staring at her heels
The original artwork was painted by Ribas, Federico for Bally in 1926. It's funny that even with all the bright pink going on, your eye is still drawn towards those shoes. Looking at the details of the image Federico wasn't the best artist around, but definitely had a skill for pointing the viewer in the right direction.
Vintage Cannes Poster
Image Details: vintage Cannes travel art poster showing beach full of tourists and mountains in the background to the east. Text " Ete Cannes Hiver Cote D' Azur"
In recent decades Cannes has become popular for movie enthusiasts. You might say it's the Hollywood of independent films. I'm not sure what else you would say. Not like I have the money to go there and see what it's all about.
That's why we buy travel posters eh? So we can stick them on our walls and dream about these far away places we see in the movies. And imagine that they're better than where we are now.

Image Details: vintage style vector art of Little Red Riding Hood and a black wolf. With text "Once Upon A Time"
So many versions of Little Red Riding Hood and I can't remember any of them. I'm not sure who created this image, but it's being sold by Vintage Poster Art, who by the way has a huge collection of really cool old posters. If you get time check it out. This amazing art work was created by the artistic duo Pei-Hsuan Wu of Taiwan and Richard Neuman from the U.S. One is asian (yellow) and the other white. A banana is yellow outside and white inside. Hence the name. And no I'm not being racist. That is from their own mouths. Check it out: About Two Bananas

Image Details: vector wind up robot with customizable text
Speaking of wind up robots - I wonder when they're going to start making wind up cars. Forget hybrids and electric. They still depend on burning fuels up. Wind up is the way to go.
Cute Tree Owls
Image Details: cute owls in a tree vector art. Multicolored owls perched on tree limbs with a large snail on the ground below.
Owls are pretty big birds. Off the top of my head the one I saw that one time at Stone Mountain Park (Georgia) was about 2 feet high. And that snail is about the same size as the smallest owl. So I would guestimate that is a foot high snail. It's the perfect pet for anyone that walks really slow.
Faith Versus Fear
Quotation wall art for nursery and kids rooms posters by pinkjellybeans

Image Details: elephant vector art print. 3 elephants standing on one another with text: "Let your Faith be bigger than your Fear"
If I weighed a ton it would take a lot of faith for me to get up on something the same size or bigger than me. I mean think of that weight crashing into the ground. I wonder if an elephant would put out its feet to keep it from going all the way down, or if it would just face plant.
Another question: If an elephant were to roll over on it's back, how hard would it be for it to roll back over. And a thought - I wonder people back in the day (before internet) went elephant tipping.
Baa Baa Black Sheep
Image Detail: kids Baa Baa Black Sheep Nursery rhyme poster with large black sheep.
"Baa, Baa black sheep,
Have you any woo?
Yes, Sir. Yes, Sir.
Three bags full.
One for The Master.
One for The Dame.
And one for the little boy,
Who lives down the lane."
I wonder how big those bags are. Judging by the picture they've got to be pretty big. And a little boy bought one of those bags. Must be cheap. Not like kids have a lot of spending money. Sounds like a great deal. I could use a bag of black wool. Not sure what I would do with it though.

Hipster Lion
Image details: male lion head wearing a stocking cap and aviator style glasses.
I've seen this picture all over the internet for awhile now, and I've always wondered who created it. Well, now I know. The artist is Balaz Solti. And if you were expecting that to be followed by a biography of the artist, then you're just SOL. About the only personal information I could find about Balaz is that he is a freelance illustrator from Hungary. Why does that make me think of starving artists?

Boxing Panda Art Poster
Image Details: boxing panda bear with blue gloves
Another great piece of art by Hungarian illustrator Balaz Solti. Balaz says that he likes to draw things that make people smile. I'm not a fan of boxing (beating people's brains out isn't entertaining to me), but I still find this picture does make me smile. Maybe it's just the fact that the panda looks so happy. I like how he removed the black around one eye to make it look as if the panda had a black eye. Very clever.
Adult Giraffe With Baby
Adult Giraffe with calf (Giraffa camelopardalis) Posters by prophoto

Image Details: momma Giraffe nuzzling her baby
This photograph is Getty Images. Photographer unknown of course. I'm imagining some National Geographic photographer. Complete with the cliche safari gear and a guide trolling around in a over sized Land Rover. Or maybe one of those hippy animal whisper types. Like that lady that lived with Gorillas. Either way it's still a cute picture.
Adorable Otter
Image Details: color photograph of an otter in the water posing for the camera
OMG! It's so cute!!! The camera sure loves this little guy/gal. That pose with the hands on the face is just too much. I think this otter has seen a few cameras in it's lifetime. Photographer unknown.
Party Animal Sloth Poster
Image Details: drawing of a sloth with text "Party Animal" sloth is holding up hand giving the "rock on" sign.
Art work by artist Lukaluka Vilnius. Who is originally from Lithuania, but now resides in Australia.
The thought of a sloth being a party animal is amusing. They don't move much. Then again that is exactly how a lot of people at parties are. I like how she managed to capture the creepiness of the sloth in her drawing. My sloths always look too friendly. Go google sloths and you'll see what I mean.
Wild Tiger Poster
Image Details: photograph of a tiger in the wild
This is a very scary picture. That tiger looks hungry and it's pretty close to the camera. I'll assume nothing bad happened since we are seeing this image. Unless someone went back to pry the film out of the bony hands of their fallen comrade. Or maybe just a really good zoom lens.
Circus Animals on 33rd Street
Image Details: black and white photograph of circus animals (elephant and zebra seen) walking down 33rd Street in New York.
I wonder who had to walk behind that elephant and clean up all the doo. Let's face it elephants are like giant rats, and you know what rats do constantly? They poop. Except elephant poo comes out in huge piles. Huge! I also wonder where they're going? Catching the train?
Animals Don't Cover Their Tracks
Image Details: animal print identification chart feauturing varioius types of animals.
I'm not sure what "Animals Don't Cover Their Tracks" means. I see there's some human feet in there, and we do cover our tracks. Unless those are Sasquatch feet. Those other human like prints must be aliens.
You're Calling Me a Procastinator?
Image Details: silhouette of a man leaning back in a chair at a computer desk with his feet up. "You're Calling Me a Procrastinator? I'll prove you wrong someday! Just you wait and see."
You know, the only thing worse than procrastinating is being broke. Hard to get anything done when you're broke. Clearly this guy is, because that chair has got to be worn out to lean back like that.
